HVA International /
Handelsvereniging Amsterdam Est. 1879
HVA International was established in 1879 and has its headquarters in the Netherlands. It is an historic agricultural development group that has served thousands of clients worldwide. HVA helped to fund, design, manage and modernize farms throughout the (developing) world.
A staunch supporter of the UN-formulated sustainable development goals, HVA’s value propositions include a full range of services, from conceiving and funding new agricultural projects to managing whole agricultural enterprises.
As co-founders of the historic Royal Tropical Institute, HVA International’s offices are located in the heart of Amsterdam. At the same time, the company holds a seat on the council of members and is wholly committed to help make the SDG-goals more than just an ambition.
While we have had a long and fruitful journey so far, we find ourselves at an exciting crossroads as we see the dawn of a Second Green Revolution, with emerging markets rapidly moving up the agricultural value chain.
We will endeavor to stay on the front lines as the transition is made to sustainable , Climate Smart Agriculture on a global scale.
Sustainable Development Goals
HVA has had a long and fruitful journey so far but we believe it has been just the beginning.
Profitability and sustainability are not mutually exclusive and HVA is striving to make Climate Smart Agriculture an achievable goal for industrial agricultural ventures the world over.
