SHAKI AGRO INTEGRATED DAIRY FARM, AZERBAIJAN

ASSIGNMENT
|
|
Development of a 600 cows dairy
farm with cheese processing plant. The project has been supported from
the original implementation plan to its current management. The pregnant
heifers were imported through HVA and 300 hectares of fodder production
were established.
Currently TA is provided and a farm manager has been assigned to the
project.

BACKGROUND OF PROJECT
|
|
Azerbaijan is
rapidly developing and the demand for milk and cheese is increasing. No
large scale dairy farms were anymore operational and on request of a
Turk investor HVA International prepared a proposal for the
establishment of a 600 dairy cow farm with young stock rearing and milk
processing into Gouda type cheese.

SCOPE OF WORK

Establishment of
four stables for 600 dairy cows with replacement young stock based on
cubicle housing. |

Establishment
of a rapid exit, double 16, milking parlour. |

Supply all farm
requirements, tools and equipment |

Establishing an
agricultural mechanisation unit for the production of the required
fodder crops. |

Establish a
Gouda type cheese plant able to process 15,000 litres milk per day. |

Supply 600 high
quality pregnant Holstein Friesian heifers. |

Train the staff
in aspects of the management of the farm. |

Assign a Farm
Manager. |
