Middle East
For this project HVA International is looking for a:
 | Food Technologist
|
During the establishment of the processing plant
for minimally processed fresh-cut
fruits and vegetables and/or fresh unpasteurised fruit juices the
Food Technologist will in particular advise on:
 |
Processing technology and
practices with regard to washing and sanitising
the produce and the use of preservation agents. |
 |
Optimal packaging method and
materials. |
 |
Requirements for design of
processing lines, facilities and buildings to
permit good food hygiene practices. |
The ideal candidate could assume production
management responsibility after commissioning the plant, for a period of
six months or longer.

Implementation of sugar plantations, irrigation system and farm machinery

The project comprises of
the implementation of the

Workshop Engineer |
Key
Qualifications
 |
Mechanical
engineer or agricultural engineer with experience in farm
machinery workshops. |

Preferably
experience in the large-scale operations. |
 |
Experience
as site engineer in agro-industrial projects. |

Preferably
working experience in Africa. |
Main activities
 |
Supervising the construction and installation of the workshop. |
 |
Running
the workshop as counterpart of the future workshop manager and
reporting to the Team Leader. |

Training
of staff in the workshop on Operation and Maintenance. |
 | Agronomist |
Key
Qualifications
 |
Agriculturist with M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree and extensive
experience in sugar
cane plantations. |

Experience
with sugar cane outgrowers. |

Interest
in applied research. |

Preferably

Main activities
 |
Supervising the development of new cane plantations in the
nucleus estate. |

Liaising
with Client’s outgrower manager and agronomist for the planning
of
seed cane and cane supply to the factory. |

Supervising the installation of the agricultural services
facilities (laboratory
for agricultural research). |

Training
of agricultural staff |
 | Irrigation Engineer |
Key
Qualifications
 |
Civil
engineer / irrigation engineer with M.Sc. degree and experience
in
design / detailed design and preparation of Tender Documents. |

Experience
with FIDIC contract procedures. |
 |
Site
working experience in agro-industrial projects / irrigated sugar
cane plantations. |
 |
Preferably
working experience in Africa. |
Main activities
 |
Detailed
design of irrigation system. |
 |
Supervising the implementation / installation / construction of
pump
stations, dams and irrigation (sprinkler) system. |

Training
